Top 3 in SMRC Cup 7

Second and overall 4. place in the SMRC 7th and final race.

Last episode of the raceseries was to be a pretty victorious one for

LauraK. Driving her Ishimabuggy for the last time, she strongly desired to

reach the best result ever.

The track which had been soaking up weeks of rain, was heavy and as usual

cratered and stone aged. This meant lots of grip and insidious scattered

holes, - off-road at it`s best and most challenging state.

Setting up the car with rather light oil allover and medium springs, she

entered the track to qualify. The car matched the difficult conditions and

blended in, and she managed, without any greater effort, to reach the semiA. 

The semi worked out and she was now facing the finals. Everyone eager to

end this last race of the year with a the good results, was ready in the

tower. As the flag lifted a lot of mistakes occured and the start was

abandoned. 2 times this happened ! - but finally the race took it`s start.

Starting out in controlled pace, letting the boys fight it out for the

first 5 minutes, she now began using the full trigger. Gradually pushing

harder, making as few errors as possible on the cratered track, she

aggressively forced her opponents behind her. Engine and car was running

with no hesitation, so second position was retained, until the checkered

flag came up.

In the total score, she ended up in 4. place in the series, only 1 point behind no 3.male driver, this being Laura’s first raceyear.

 Next year LauraK will be driving the O Donnell team buggy for www.buggynation.net - LauraK’s new sponsor for 2010.

 The O Donnell team buggy is new this year in Europe. The initial tests has been very succesful, and we are exited to see what she can do with a pro buggy.

Laura also plans to participate in more race series and is currently planning her 2010 season.

The RTR Ishima RAVE M1.0 racer has been put in the hall of fame back in the sponsor’s recidence
