Danish Nats 4 round september 28, 2009

… sure you can`t blame it on the buggy ! - but a lot of other things can happen.
1. qual - no probs. went fine - entrance to 1/4 finale.
2. qual - fuel hose leak around fuel inlet nipple.
3. qual - sterring servo horn snap.
4. qual - fuel hose leak around fuel inlet nipple. Found that the body was rubbing it .
1/4 - no probs, pure racing, no.1

Semifinal - Our car and driver was running strong i 2. nd position. 5 min. to go, fuel hose leak around fuelfilter, causing 2 flame outs, overheat and finally a burned glowplug !
We tried 2 different brands og tube during the day, but plain bad F….. luck !

The car was running at it`s best, and we had a lot of focus on it ! not only because of our irregular pit-stops

Answer from RCTech ODonnel site Go JohnnyGo :

Oo….been there and done that with the fuel line leaks….what we found was the air filter was coming down and slapping the tubing from jumping and what not….and we also found where the tubing seals at the fuel filter was sharp (the barb) so we sanded it down ever so lightly with a dremel….also twisted the air filter kinda back so it pointed a bit more up and ran the fuel lines behind the filter housing edges…..I have been routing the fuel lines differently on my other 2 buggies and truggies…..just the opposite as in the manual…looping the filters nearest the engine and running the fuel lines up around the front and then back.
